Science Center

On Thursday 13 November 2008 I was informed that there was no chess and that I am going to the Science Museum with my students. I think that I was told this in advance, but I am not absolututely sure. I did not have a car that day because the alternator had died on me and the car was actually a block away from the school. It was towed to my house later.

Once we got there, it was a great experience and I do plan to go back. I think that we could had spent a whole day there, but not with 20 kids this age. But if you are in the Baltimore area and have young kids, you owe it to them to take them there.

Everything is hands on. The kids get to experience acheology digs, music theory, physics, and many, many other things.

This was just one of many things that are available to our children through the Y of Central Maryland After School Program.
