The City of Baltimore has developed the Local Contractor Development Program to support the participation of minority-owned and women-owned enterprises in all City consatruction projects. Part of this program is the fantastic Contractors' College which I attended. If you are a small minority- or woman-owned business in Baltimore, I strongly recommend that you take advantage of the opportunities that this college offers. Upon completion of the last session, one of the students is now applying for contracts and opportunities that he did not know about in the past.
Please read my report on the class. When I have enough time (whatever that is), I hope to post my notes on this site.
Even before the class, I knew some of the other students. Anne Rich is a member of MWMCA. Another student was my barber. I don't use him now because his lines are too long. There was another woman in the class who came with her husband who was one of the presentors. She recognized me from the recent Russian Festival.
