Friendly Farm Restaurant
On Thursday 21 January 2010 when Reader Joseph came to my house, I thought that I would be back home by 14:00 or 15:00 at the latest. Little did I know that I was in for a fantastic day.
We had talked earlier about the type of food we prefer. I am rather open. The only thing that I had completely rejected was chitterlings. There is a joke among some of my friends concerning Isabelle Hapgood's translation of services and she uses the term "gloomy transgressions." Transgressions are usually enjoyable, even if not spiritually. Finally I concluded that a "gloomy transgression" would be to eat chitterlings on a Friday or during Great Lent.
Rdr Joseph selected an American restaurant in Upperco MD. Don't ask me where that is. I'm sure that MapQuest or GPS can find it for me the next time I go there.
We entered a spacious, clean dinning room. It was not packed, nor was it empty. There were two tables near the windows and we selected the one towards the back. The first two photos were taken from my seat at the table.
When we finished eating, we drove around the area. First we went to the beautiful church up the street and then we went to Pettyboy Dam. I hope to come back again when the weather is a little warmer and take more photographs of the area.
Then we went to Hunt Valley and then to an ink store. After that he took me to Greektown where I visited a few of the stores and then attended the weekly meeting for the Greek Independence Day Parade.
I was amazed at Reader Joseph's knowledge of the history of the area. |
