Christmas Dinner 2006

Thank God that there are many, many wonderful families who love to invite into their homes for Christmas and Thanksgiving those who do not have a family in the area. The Disharoons are such people. I have lost count of the number of years that I have enjoyed dinner on Pascha, Thanksgiving, and Christmas at their house. During the last many years, only once we did not have the dinner.

This time all three daughters were present along with Dr. Carl and his wife. Paul came with his beautiful daughters. They are beautiful not only physically but spiritually also.

When you are in this house, you are in a house where love abounds and you can feel it. Now that we have a pavillion and playground, our intention is to have a picnic every month. We also invite other Orthodox parishes in the area to use the facilities. There have been private parties at the picnic and a wedding reception, among other things.

By the way, this is a dinner. Therefore people are eating and drinking because they are supposed to be eating and drinking. Occasionally somebody gets upset with me because I caught them in the camera with a glass in their hand at a party. Personally I would be more concerned if he did not have a glass or plate in his hand.
