Brotherhood and Christmas Tree
The first Friday of the month is the St. Alexander Nevsky's Brotherhood meeting night and during the year we normally have a movie. During the summer we have a crab feast.
This month we saw the movie Night at the Museum, part 2, The Battle of the Smithsonian. It was almost as good as the first one. This is one series that I can see a second and third time without any problem.
While we were watching the movie, Fr. John and Matushka Tatiana and some other members of the parish were taking down the Christmas decoration. They put them up on 25 December. The original plan was for the parish to put them up on Sunday 20 December 2009, but we had a big snow storm and just about everything was cancelled, including Sunday Liturgy.
Our brotherhood meets monthly and the meetings are open. They are actually social events. If you are in the Baltimore area and want to get to know us socially, please come to some of our functions. |
