New Year 2010

On New Year Day's Doanh provided me with a ride to Holy Cross for Liturgy. I cannot think of a better way to start a new year than with the Divine Liturgy.

After the Liturgy we had a New Year's Day party at the "Holy Cross Annex." When I first heard the term, I thought that the parish had either rented or purchased some property near the church. It turned out that some of the members of the parish live in an apartment building just one block away. So they affectionally call it the Annex.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon. Our host, Bopol, prepared a wonderful African soup and we all enjoyed it. As you can tell by some of the photos, it was a very relaxing afternoon.
