Archbishop Lazar
On Friday 5 October 2007 I made my first visit to St. Matthew Church since they built their new temple. It is an impressive building and it is even more impressive that they have their icons up already. Most parishes do not have an iconostas for at least a year. I was told that members of the parish painted the icons. They did a magnificent job.
I was also very pleased with the wonderful reception by the people. My hear overflowed with joy because of the warmth shown to me by everybody, most of whom saw me for the first time since my ordination to the diaconate. I also met Deacon Nicholas who knew about me from my service books and my postings on the Internet.
I hope to post a report whenever I get the notes typed. Right now I'm at least a month behind schedule.
