Patronal Feast of Chapel
Thursday 12 July 2007 wasa very busy and spiritual day for me. It was the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, the patron saints of our chapel at Cathedral Gardens in Elkridge. We had Liturgy starting at 9:00. I was late because I thought that it was at 10:00. But I did read the Epistle in English. I'm not ready to try it in Slavonic.
After the Liturgy we had the Lesser Blessing of Water and another service. At one point I stepped out side to enjoy the breeze and noticed two deer in the distance. I quietly came back into the chapel, changed lenses on my camera and took several photographs. Later when we were outside. we also saw a deer on the other side of the cemetery.
After the services, we had a nice brunch. It was so peaceful that I did not want to leave. There was a nice cool breeze and the scenery was magnificent. I was in Paradise.
