Church School New Year
Once again the New Year is upon us. The Church year starts on 1 September and Church School starts around the same time. It is imperative that our children learn what we believe and why. It does matter what one believes. One religion is NOT as good as another. Lies are not as good as the Truth. Neither are errors or falsehood. After the Liturgy on Bright Saturday, we had a Paschal Procession around the entire block. We had the procession the last two years, but this year we actually walked in the street as the New York Police Department blocked off the streets for us. We started from the cathedral on 97th Street, turned left on Madison Avenue, then left on 98th Street, and again left on Fifth Avenue, and again on 97th Street where we ended in front of the cathedral for the proclaimation of the Gospel.
Bishop GABRIEL took part in this procession as did two others from his office. One was Eugene Hrihoriak, the accountant and fundraising coordinator for the Church.
