Deacon Michael's First Liturgy

This is my very first Divine Liturgy as a deacon. The occasion was the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on the old calendar.
After the Liturgy we did what every Orthodox community should do after the Liturgy, we had a meal together. Matushka Tatiana baked a wonderful cake. It was not a carrot cake, probably some type of nut cake, but it was good.
Reader Joseph, Officer Joseph, and I spent some time talking about some of our experiences. Reader Joseph is a school teacher by profession and I have taken several criminology classes. I was very fgortunate to have taken two classes at the US Department of Agriculture Graduate School and my professor was Dr. Samuel A. Krammer, who was the head of the Criminology Department of Catholic University at the time. He was a fantastic professor. I presume that he fell asleep in the Lord by now.
