Baptism of Tendai Thomas
Just over a month ago Tendai Thomas' father asked me to be the godfather of his son. I was greatly honored. He had thought that I would not be able to be a godfather because of my position in the Church and he was happy to hear that I could.
On Sunday 26 August we had the service. Joseph, one of our adult altar servers, took photographs and Serafim, our choir director, was the choir and reader. Immediately after the actual Baptism I read the Psalm and Serafim read the Epistle after asking me if I wanted to read it.
After the Baptism, Joseph, Serafim, Fr. John, and I changed the covers from white to blue for the feast of the Theotokos. I then went to Cathedral Gardens for the annual picnic of Holy Cross Antiochian Orthodox Church.
