Fr. Paschal 40th Anniversary

Although the actual date was much earlier, on Sunday 28 May 2006 a full church gathered together to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the ordination to the priesthood of Fr. Paschal, the pastor of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church in Baltimore.
Fr. Paschal has been very supportive of the Catholic-Orthodox dialogue and when the founder of the St. Maximos Society could no longer handle it, Fr. Paschal took over the group and hosted it at the church. We generally meet in the rectory.
Fr. Michael Roshak and I "represented" the Orthodox Church. I really prefer to say that we witnessed for the Orthodox Church. At the end of the service, Fr. Paschal introduced us.
It was not until late Sunday afternoon that I learned that the celebration will start with Mass. I was told this when I picked up my ride. So when I got to the church, I quietly found a seat next to Fr. Michael. After the Liturgy, we all went to the hall for dinner and I was ushered up front to sit with the priests.
