Russian Festival - Friday

Six years ago I volunteered to work at Holy Trinity's Russian Festival. I do not know what possessed me to do so, but it was one of the best decisions that I made in years.

The Festival starts around noon on Friday and continue until 21:00 that evening. It then resumes around noon the next day.

Most of my time was spent in the temple. Besides greeting people and answering questions, I also ran some errands. This year a very important duty of mine was to make signs on the computer. I made them in English and Russian this year. Most were just editing.

Because of the large number of photographs which I have taken, I have to divde them into different pages. The pictures taken by Natalie and Vera with my Kodak camera are on the same page as the pictures taken with the Canon Rebel dSLR camera.

The Festival officially began with a procession. In the Orthodox Church we begin everything with a prayer. Since I was serving and in a prominent position most of the time, it would had been inappropriate for me to take photographs also. Therefore I asked Natalie to take them.

Some of the pictures on this site are intended as guidance for next year.
