Melanie-Don wedding
Saturday 15 July 2006 was a really busy day for me. From the time that I got up until the time that I left the house, I worked on several projects which needed to be done. Then just around 11:30 I left for Laurel MD where I met up with Subdeacon Ephraim Roseland at his house. From there he drove a group of us to Saints Peter and Paul Antiochian Church in Potomac MD. What a lovely facility that is!
We needed to be there early since his wife was singing in the choir. I really do not know why anybody from the choir showed up because I did not hear them. All that I heard was the voices of angels singing the responses. If I had not known better, I might had thought that I died and went straight to heaven. But then, almost any time that I am at Holy Cross Antiochian Church, I "know not whether I am on earth or in heaven." There is almost no way that human voice could sound so beautiful! Even after the service I could not leave because I was so busy trying to sing along with the heavenly host. "God is wonderful in His saints!"
From the church we drove to the reception, but we took the scenic route. By the time we realized which direction we were supposed to go onto the Beltway, we were already going South. The directions said to go east and the signs said north or south. So we took the next exit and drove towards Washington. Finally we were able to make a sort of a U turn and get back to the Beltway and from there we had no problem.
We went to a very lovely restaurant and the service and food were great. We stayed until just after the bridal couple cut the cake.
Please enjoy the photographs.
