Senator Verna Jones Fund Raiser

When I accepted Senator Verna Jones' request on Tuesday 8 December 2009 I had no idea that I would have such a wonderful evening.

Senator Jones first gives honor to God for holding up on the weather this evening. She is giving her campaign people a candy dish to show how sweet they are. The fact that she gave honor to God and did it publicly is enough to win my vote in this age of secularism when our society is trying hard to get rid of God. We heard "Without strong families, we don’t have a future." Without God, you don't have strong families.

Senator Mike Miller is a Sagittarius. “We always make the same mistakes over and over.” Lisa Gladden and Senator Jones came into the House together.

Senator Curry: Thanks to her husband. Getting married did make a difference.

Senator Jones: I love my husband. I love my life. If you love your life that is what you are supposed to do.

It is not about me. It is not about the individual things that I do. It is about the entire State of Maryland.

Make sure that our schools are taken care of. Medical assistance for our senior population. Thank you for what you have done at this moment. Thank you for what you do in the future.

Baltimore City is one of the most underserved for cities of this size. For each person not counted in the census, that is $1,000 for the next ten years. How many millions of dollars are not coming into the city? You do the math. Let us not take anything for granted. The 2010 Census is coming. Let us make sure everybody is counted. Baltimore might also lose some representation. We have already lost significant representation over the last ten years.
