St Mary Center Construction, Oct. 2008

Across from my house is Saint Mary Park and in the park is the Saint Mary Center. This used to be the location for Saint Mary Seminary, but they moved out to Roland Avenue area and the seminary itself was demolished years ago. The park is still here and so is the chapel along with the Mother Seton House. I did a page on the house in June 2007.

Saint Mary Center and Chapel are undergoing major renovations. The same is also true of the Mother Seton House. The interior of the chapel has already been renovated and the chapel is now used for receptions and other functions and occasionally there is a Mass there when requested.

Also, some of the property on Paca Street are being restored. The houses next to the entrance of the park are being renovated and they are beginning to look really good. The City of Baltimore also repaired the sidewalk in front of the Centers.
