Maryland State Fair

Get involved in your community. You never know when it will pay big dividends. It is always rewarding one way or another.

At a recent meeting, the secretary of the Seton Hill Neighborhood Association, announced that she had free passes for the Maryland State Fair that weekend. The passes were good only for Sunday. I just wish that I had much more of a notice. I probably would had taken a group from the church.

For me this was an opportunity to minister and have a good time. I left shortly after Liturgy and drove to Timonium. I really wanted to take the Light Rail, but I had a time problem.

I had a good time at the Fair. But I was really disappointed. The previous time I went it was extremely educational. This time it was too much of an amusement park. But there were educational opportunities.

I had a conversation with representatives of the Community College of Baltimore County and I plan to start taking courses there as soon as I get some money. They told me that I will not have the problems there that I have with another community college. That was really good news.

Finally I saw Monty and Daria who are devout Roman Catholics and very much pro-life. I shared with them some of my experiences. May the Lord God bless their ministry adundantly.
