Cats Haven

Despite the fact that most of the houses in Seton Hill are on the National Register and therefore are over 100 years old, we do not have a major problem with rodents. In four or five years, I have seen only three of four rodents. One reason is the number of cats in the neighborhood.

In my previous neighborhood, which is not that far away (just about a mile), I would see rodents frequently. In fact, every month or two there would be one in my old apartment. But then some of the holes in the wall were big enough for a cat to negotiate.

This morning as I was working down stairs, I noticed that some of the neighborhood cats were having a sobor in my back yard. I have no idea what they were discussing. But it must had been important. They just ignored me as I took some pictures. Some of the pictures below were taken on previous occasions.

These are the cats whom I do not know. Perhaps they have homes and they own human beings. I have no idea. But they seem to love visiting my back yard and I have no problem with that. All the photographs were taken through the back window which has not been washed for years.
