Christmas Lights 2006

For years I have wanted to photograph some of the beautifully decorated houses around Christmas time, but there were several factors stopping me. First of all, I really did not want to waste a lot of money of film. Secondly, I did not want to be standing in front of a house with a camera on a tripod and attracting the attention of potential robbers. Finally, I did not want to be standing out in cold weather.

Now with digital cameras, the first two arguments are moot. Cold is still a problem, but since I also have a car, I can drive around and just pull over and shoot from the driver's window the houses that I want. For security reasons, no records are kept of the locations of the houses.
